Drinks to Boost Your Metabolism

When it comes to losing weight, boosting your metabolism is often the key to melting off the pounds. While you can do this by increasing your physical activity and eating high protein foods, there is also another way to stoke your metabolism even more—and it involves the beverages that you are consuming.

Therefore, if you want to drink your way to a thinner, trimmer you, here are three things you want to put into your glass daily:

Lemon Water

According to an article published in the Journal of Biochemical Nutrition, lemons help you lose weight a number of ways. In addition to boosting your metabolism, they also reduce the amount of fat your body retains while keeping your blood sugar more stable, which means fewer hard-to-fight cravings.

In addition, the vitamin C in lemons is linked to lower body weight, not to mention that it helps your digestive system work as intended. Simply squeeze one teaspoon of juice from a lemon into a full glass of cold water or a cup of warm water (like a tea) twice daily for the best effect.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is known for its ability to help break down fat and, like lemon water, it also works to regulate your blood sugar which can make it easier to get to a lower weight. It doesn’t take much either as one teaspoon mixed with water is enough.

For even more health benefits, you can even add a teaspoon of honey if you are drinking it warm to ease the taste while giving you a healthier immune system in the process.

Creatine

Drinking creatine helps you build muscle mass which ultimately raises your metabolism. If you’re new to using creatine, the recommendation is to take 5 grams four times a day for a week to get it into your muscles, and then you should drop your intake down to just 5 grams per day total.

Drink these three things and watch your waistline decrease!

What is your go-to beverage for boosting your metabolism?
