The Paleo Fitness Movement

If you’ve researched fitness at all, you likely have seen the word “Paleo” come up a time or two. But do you wonder what exactly Paleo is and how it is supposed to help you reach your health and fitness goals? Well, wonder no more because you’re about to learn what you need to know about this particular fitness movement that is sweeping the entire world.

Paleo Ideology

The basis behind the Paleo lifestyle is to return to your most basic health and fitness needs, similar to what our caveman ancestors experienced long ago. Don’t worry, you’re not going to be expected to outrun vicious predators or kill everything you eat with nothing more than a spear, but you are likely going to have to change your eating and exercise habits.

Regarding diet, for instance, Paleo eating involves foods that are natural and fresh, such as lean meats, fruits, veggies, nuts, and seeds. There are no processed foods on the Paleo diet and some Paleo enthusiasts even avoid cooking their meat as they feel that the more natural it is, the better it is for you.

Paleo Fitness

Paleo fitness operates under the idea that you will get the best results if you choose to follow a series of exercises that work your body in a completely natural way. It is often called “primal training” as the goal is to get you to exercise using movements that mimic hunters and gatherers from years ago.

Some gyms offer Paleo fitness programs, where you can learn which moves work best by a fully trained, expert instructor. There are also several different Paleo fitness books and DVDs that you can use if you prefer to train within your own home. YouTube even has over 109,000 Paleo fitness videos if you want to check this fitness program out for free.

So, are you ready to join the Paleo fitness movement?
