3 Simple Things You Can Do In the Morning to Make Your Day Better

No one gets up and says, “Geez, I’d really like to have a bad day today.” However, admittedly, sometimes it happens even when you have the best of intentions when it comes to keeping a smile on your face. So, what can you do if you want to increase the likelihood that your day will be the best day it can be? Here are three simple things to consider:

#1: Get Up Early

It is pretty hard to have a good day when you get up late and feel rushed with everything you need to do. Therefore, setting your alarm for 15 minutes earlier than normal (or just getting up when it goes off versus hitting the snooze button), can help save you from that pressure and make your morning more calm and relaxing. Speaking of calm and relaxing…

#2: Meditate

Start your day off with some form of meditation and you will likely find it easier to handle whatever comes your way. Meditation has been proven to reduce anxiety and increase feelings of well-being, both of which will make your day easier to handle and more fulfilling. Even if you don’t actually meditate, just a few moments of sitting in silence while taking a couple of deep breaths is often enough to soothe your soul.

#3: Count Your Blessings

Remind yourself of all of the things you are thankful for when your first wake up and how can you possibly have a bad day? When you approach life from an attitude of graciousness and abundance, you can’t help but feel satisfied with everything you have in your life—from the people to your health to your job to material things. And if you have a hard time finding things to be thankful for, always remember that it could be worse. There is someone on this earth who would change places with you in a heartbeat.

Do these three things and make every day the best it can be!

What do you do to increase your likelihood of having the best day possible?
