3 Ways to Boost Your Endurance

According to Wikipedia, endurance is defined as “the ability of an organism to exert itself and remain active for a long period of time, as well as its ability to resist, withstand, recover from, and have immunity to trauma, wounds, or fatigue.” Does this sound like a power that you want more of in your life? If so, there are three ways to get it.

#1: High Intensity Lifting

Train your body by engaging in high intensity lifting and you will boost your stamina right along with your muscle power. What is high intensity lifting? It is a form of weight training that involves working your muscle to the point of failure. By using the right amount of weight, repetitions, and exercise duration, you’ll build your endurance in the process.

#2: Reduce Your Amount of Rest

Another option when it comes to increasing your stamina is to reduce the amount of rest that you take in between exercises. For example, if you normally rest 2-3 minutes between sets, lower that amount to 30 seconds instead and you’ll experience bigger gains in your ability to outlast your competitors—a key to success when you’re training to improve your sports performance.

#3: Combine Strength Days with Cardio Days

The third and final way to build your endurance is to do strength and cardio on the same day. This forces your body to push its physical levels, which means that, over time, you will be able to withstand more physical exercise as a result. The nice thing about this option is that you can take off more days during the week and still experience stellar results.

Do any one of these options and you can boost your endurance tremendously.
