5 Tips to Strip Fat

If you took a survey of all of the people at the gym right now, most will tell you that they are working out in an effort to drop the excess fat from their body. While cardio exercise (think running, swimming, and cycling) is definitely beneficial to achieving this goal, there are also other things you can do to help you fit into smaller size clothes.

Tip #1: Eat more veggies. Vegetables help you lose more fat by adding bulk to your diet without adding more calories. Plus, they are loaded in the vitamins and minerals your body needs for a higher metabolism and greater fat burn potential.

Tip #2: Hydrate your body. It isn’t uncommon to mistake thirst cues for hunger, so staying hydrated can reduce this possibility. Adding lemon to your glass can help detoxify your system, further increasing the amount of fat you lose.

Tip #3: Stay active all day long. Working out every day is great, but if you really want to lose fat, staying active even when you’re not in the gym helps. So, take up a sport, start gardening, or just go for a walk. Every little bit helps.

Tip #4: Build more muscle. Muscle takes more energy to retain than fat, so building your muscle mass is a great way to burn more calories all day long. One option is to strength train using resistance bands. Speed training works well for this reason too.

Tip #5: Get your mind in the game. The more your brain is on board with losing fat, the easier the process will become. So, use self-talk that is positive and will lead your closer to your goals. Also, remind yourself that getting in shape is something you get to do, not something you have to do. It always feels better to be engaged by choice, not because you feel you must.
