Which Type of Tea Provides the Most Health Benefits?

Because there are so many different types of teas available on the market today, you may have a hard time deciding which one to buy to give yourself the most optimum levels of health. However, it isn’t quite that simple as each tea offers its own benefits.

With that thought in mind, here are the most common types of tea and the advantages they have shown to provide to your health:

  • Black Tea – Probably one of the most drank teas there is, black tea has been shown to lower your risk of stroke and offer a layer of protection for your lungs if you spend a lot of time around cigarette smokers.

  • Green Tea – This particular tea has many health benefits, ranging from assistance in helping you lose weight to reducing the growth of specific types of cancers (such as breast, stomach and colorectal, just to name a few). It also reduces your risk of stroke like black tea and it has been found to lower your cholesterol levels and improve the function of your brain and neurological systems.

  • Oolong Tea – Although less common than black and green tea, oolong tea helps lower your levels of bad cholesterol so that your blood flows freely and can get into your organs and cells for optimal health.

  • White Tea – Just as green tea has been found to be beneficial in keeping cancer at bay, so too do the white teas.

  • Chamomile Tea – If you suffer from diabetes or are faced with vision loss or kidney damage, chamomile tea can help lessen these conditions.

  • Hibiscus Tea – This tea works to lower your blood pressure if yours tends to run higher than it should.

Since each tea provides its own health benefits, it is hard to say which one is “best”. Add them all to your diet to enjoy the greatest health possible!
