Living a Balanced Lifestyle: An Easy to Follow Guide

It seems as if everyone nowadays is trying to find a lifestyle that is balanced. In other words, you want to have that healthy level of good and bad. While it isn’t always an easy thing to do, it is simple as long as you follow these four guidelines:

#1 – Don’t Train Every Day

It’s great that you want to be in the best shape of your life, but that doesn’t mean that you have to train every day to do it. Just make sure you get cardio at least five days a week and engage in resistance training 2-3 of those days and you’re good. That gives you two days off to enjoy life and do things that bring you peace and contentment.

#2 – Eat More Fruits and Veggies

If you truly want to feel your best and have maximum energy and health, then the key is to increase the amount of fruits and vegetables that you eat. They are all loaded with many different vitamins and minerals that will keep you operating at optimal levels, making you less hungry for the not-so-good choices available.

#3 – Relax on the Weekends

Sure, you’ve got lots of errands to run and a household to take care of, but do those types of things done during the week so you can relax on the weekend. Use this time to regroup and de-stress – two activities that will increase your life span and improve your quality of life.

#4 – Give Yourself Four Treats Per Week

Life isn’t about depriving yourself all of the goodies this world has to offer. Yes, you do want to limit them so they don’t do you too much damage, but eliminating them entirely just makes you dread the process until the point where you give up. Allow yourself four treats per week and you’ll find it easier to make good choices the rest of the time.

Do these four things and you’ll be on your way to living a balanced, peaceful life. What do you find brings you the most balance?
