Thai Beef and Mixed Pepper Stir-Fry
The appetizingly fresh flavours of lemon grass and ginger make this an outstanding meal. Fresh, stress-free, and extraordinarily flavoursome, this is one to make over and over.

Ingredients
- 1 lightly chopped garlic clove
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 1 finely chopped lemon grass stalk
- 1 red pepper, deseeded, cored, and thickly sliced
- 2.5-centimetre part of fresh root ginger, finely chopped and peeled
- 1 onion, heavily sliced
- 2 tablespoons of lime juice
- Powdered pepper
- 1 green pepper, deseeded, cored, and heavily sliced
- 500 grams of fillet of rump steak, cut into long, thin slivers
Preparation
- Warm up the vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over an intense heat. Integrate the stir-fry and garlic for one minute.
- Incorporate the stir-fry and the beef for two to three minutes up until a tad coloured. Mix in the ginger and lemon grass and then place the beef into a bowl or similar container.
- Reheat the frying pan or wok and stir-fry the onion and peppers for two to three minutes up till the onions are just startingto soften and turn brown.
- Integrate the beef back into the pan, and then stir in the lime juice and sprinkle with powdered pepper. Dish up on a dune of noodles or rice.
Fruit Fritters with Ice Cream
Choose appropriate but firm fruits for this dessert, such as apricots and peaches, or maybe even bananas or apples.

Ingredients
- Dash of ground mixed spice
- Salt
- 40 grams of flour
- 15 grams of liquefied butter
- 1 egg, divided
- 125 grams of fruit
- 75 millilitres of sparkling water
- Ice cream
- Sugar, to scatter
- Vegetable oil, for deep-frying
Preparation
- Mix the flour with a splash of mixed spice and salt in a bowl or similar container. Whisk in the egg yolk, sparkling water, and melted butter to make a smooth batter.
- Beat the egg while in an additional bowl or similar container, and then progressively mix into the batter.
- Warm up 2.5-centimetre of oil in a deep saucepan.
- In the interim, pit, peel, slice, or quarter the fruit.
- Dip the fruit into the batter and deep-fry for one to two minutes, up till golden and crisp. Drain on kitchen paper.
- Shower the fritters with a touch of sugar and eat with ice cream as you wish!
