Cancer from bad diets

Recent research completed by Cancer research UK has found that people who maintain a bad diet are more likely to suffer from cancer.

The UK is now one of the fattest countries in the world, bad diet is placed at the 2nd spot for cancer promoters, smoking still stays in 1st place.

Our diets are made from 1000’s of nutrients, we have two main categories these can be bad or good nutrients. Some help protect us from the harmful cancers, while others promote.

Foods that help us stay safe are

Leeks, carrots, broccoli, brussel spouts, beetroot, spinach and loads more.

Beetroot

Is the source of vitamin B-12, contains high traces of Iron and is great for cleansing the liver.

Recipe idea for beetroot- use beetroot raw in salads, soups or sandwiches.  try wrapping your fresh raw beetroot in foil, place it in the oven at 185 c for 50 minutes. Remove from foil and slice and mix with walnuts, figs, green beans and goats cheese.

Bad diets can lead to many internal organ illnesses, foods that are high in saturated fats, cured or processed can be harmful, as we progress into the future we don’t know where our food comes from. The supermarkets are huge retailers of food which aren’t aimed at keeping us health. Often they get more money to promote the bad foods as these cost less to make, so they are able to spend more on fancy packing, better shelving and offer more offers or discounts for customers.

The food industry is thriving, with the global population on the increase manufactures  are looking to produce foods bigger and faster than ever before. This can be dangerous as hormonal boosters are used to grow the animals faster. I myself was brought up vegetarian and now feel lucky, I eat meat occasional  but tend to op for vegetables more often then not.

Try to maintain a balanced diet, the study shows that people do not eat enough fruit and vegetables, studies have also the more water in your food the better, as the water in fruit and vegetables can deliver the best nutrients, try to eat raw vegetables more.
