The toughest challenge we face today is depression.

 depression

Depression is not a sign of weakness: it is an illness

Recent news that  ex-professional footballer and Welsh manager,Gary Speed, has become the latest victim of this hard-hitting illness, shows how effective the condition can be. Nobody is safe, whether they are a sports’ professional or a student nurse: the illness shows no remorse.

Signs of depression:

  • Sleeping more
  • no social activity
  • Lack of sexual activity
  • Feeling tired – demotivated
  • Guilt
  • Restlessness
  • Self- criticism
  • Pessimism
  • Poor self- esteem

People don’t understand how close we all come to depression. We all suffer from depression  in our lives, some more than others. Over the past few years, suicide has increasingly touched our lives: either we have, or will know, someone close who has suffered from the illness.

It is often hard to realise when people are ill, mostly because at the time they are not aware of the suffering themselves.

A food diet can have a huge part to play, for example 5-HTP

5-HTP (5-hydroxytrytophan) is a mood enhancing chemical, Its an amino acid which can be found in proteins like meat, eggs & fish. 5-HTP molecules pass from the blood stream into the brain where they’re converted into the good mood molecule chemical called serotonin.

You need a dose of 50- 100g per day to effectively boost the brain and come out of depression,

Eggs are the ideal supplement, eaten to help 5-HTP boost, try using one or two per day to show an improvement.

Interesting research, It’s it important  to raise serotonin levels naturally, its an epidemic that we don’t realise

How important is our food?

It’s so important, so many people are suffering due to bad diet.

Research shows that lack of nutrients causes anger, violence, suicidal thoughts, mood swings, insomnia, depression and weight problems.

Human body so precious and stress causes lots of damage internally, your body need you to be good with your diet.

if you need help or you think your suffering from depression, speak with someone, family, friends or try a helpline
