Extra calories are important when physical training

How important is calorie intake when physical training?

Very important !

Increase intake of calories when starting a new training program, you need more energy. Depending on the type of program you’re starting cardio or muscular development you will need extra calories for extra energy.

When told ’’ intake more calories’’, this isn’t meant  to increase  fast fatty foods with an high Kcal count.

This means increasing foods that are good in nutrients and provide you with energy, vitamins and minerals you need.

The GI index is a great way to learn nutrition, this index will tell you how fast the transformation will take from carbohydrates into glucose.

For more information on GI check http://www.glycemicindex.com

Figuring out the average intake you first  should know your weight in kilograms, calculate this.  To transform the weight in  from pounds, it’s easy just divide 2.2.

For example, if your weight is 160 pounds,  then weight in kilograms would be

160÷2.2 = 72.7 , round up as 73 kg.

x30

To find daily calorie needs,  73 x 30 = 2190 calories.
