10 hand fulls sliced red cabbage
25 juniper berries
5 hand fulls sliced onions
5 slices bacon chopped & diced
1lt Red wine
1/2 lt Red wine vinegar
- Fry bacon, layer cabbage, raisins, sugar,5 berries and onions.
- Repeat 5 times and add wine and red wine vinegar. Cook for 30 minutes.
- Stir after 30 minutes and cook for 5 minutes repeat 3 times then cabbage is ready for serving.
- This is great complement for meat dishes, vegetable dishes and good old fashioned roasts
