Good pulses

Pulses are a great exchange for meat products, low in fat and high in protein & fibre they are extremely healthy. Recent evidence has shown that pules can help lower cholesterol levels.

Pulses are also high in iron, calcium, folate, potassium and antioxidant vitamin E. They also contain less than 1% fat.

  • Lentils
  • Soya beans
  • Beans (all)
  • Chickpeas
  • Tofu
  • Pearl barley
