Having diabetes can sometimes lend to unhealthy weight loss, the most common reason for weight loss is high levels of glucose in the blood stream. Which  means that your body is not using glucose in the right way, the right way is producing energy.

The body instead utilizes energy from your fat  stores with in your muscle and beneath the skin. This problem can lend to uncontrolled weight loss and skin deficiency.

The common diagnosis would be diabetes type 1, it can also occur gradually in Type 2 diabetes in some cases.
