I used Apple Fitness Plus for 7 days: Here's my honest review - Fitness Health

Apple Fitness Plus my honest review, a healthy lifestyle is an important aspect of the content of fitness products. It's incredibly rewarding work. My workouts normally contain anything required by the fitness trackers or the GPS accuracy of the new smartwatch. How does Apple Fitness+ work?

Until recently, Apple Watch users were required to use it but in 2012 it expanded the service on iPhones too. If you are interested in exercising and fitness, you must own an iPhone 8 or later with Apple Watch Series 3 or later, and an Apple Watch 6 or later. If there are any workout or fitness apps not available, click on the workout button. Every week a new video will show what is new for your platform. You can then select from a variety of 12 different exercise options including:

  1. High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

  2. Yoga

  3. Core Workouts

  4. Strength Training

  5. Treadmill Walking/Running

  6. Cycling

  7. Dance

  8. Rower

  9. Mindful Cooldown

  10. Pilates

  11. Tai Chi 

  12. Functional Strength Training

These are common categories that most fitness platforms offer, aimed at providing a well-rounded selection to cover different aspects of the fitness routine and cater to a wide range of preferences and goals.

Apple Fitness+ compatibility

To get Apple Fitness+, you must have the iPhone 8 or later running iOS 16.0 or later or the Apple Watch 3 or later running iOS 7 or later. Subscribers can get Apple Fitness+ through compatible Apple TVs or iPads. For upcoming features, ensure that all your devices use the current software versions.

- Apple Fitness Plus was initially exclusive to Apple Watch users but has since become available on iPhone, making it more accessible.

- To use Apple Fitness Plus, you need an iPhone 8 or later, paired with at least an Apple Watch Series 3 or later. For the optimal experience, an Apple Watch Series 6 or later is recommended.

- Within the app, you can tap the workout button to explore available workouts.

- New videos are added weekly to keep the content fresh and engaging for users.

- The service offers a diverse range of workouts ranging out of workout types, with at least 12 different exercise options to choose from.

If you're looking for workout app availability or updates, the Fitness app on the iPhone is the place to check. The new workouts are categorized and easy to navigate, allowing you to choose the one that fits your preferences and fitness goals.

Fitness app experience

The user may find an almost endless list of exercises that range from 15 minutes to 45 minutes long. I think that the max. 45 minutes could have sounded short for some serious athletes, but it's still possible to double up on two classes at once. Content Variety: The range of workouts is impressive. From HIIT to yoga, there’s something for everyone, though some niche interests may want more depth in yoga workouts.

Instructor Quality: The instructors are charismatic and skilled, making even the toughest workouts enjoyable.

Integration with Apple Watch: Seamless. It’s motivating to see my metrics in real-time, but this means it's really designed for Apple Watch users.

Production Value: High-quality visuals and sound with well-chosen music, though sometimes the instructors' cues can be drowned out.

User Experience: The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, although I experienced occasional glitches when streaming to my TV.

Accessibility: There's a decent range of beginner to advanced workouts, but more options for varying abilities would be welcome.

Value: With the variety and quality, it’s a solid deal, especially for existing Apple users who can fully utilize the ecosystem.

Overall, it’s a strong contender in the digital fitness space, particularly for those already within the Apple ecosystem.

 

Starting a Workout

Fitness+ workouts can be started through the fitness+ section of the Fitness application. When you launch the workout app via Fitness + it will automatically show you the correct workout in your Apple Watch workout app.

Navigating the App

Get up or meditate at the time you need it. In a bedroom, in a hotelroom, with a garden if you haven't. Indoor and outdoor. Whether equipped or unequipped. Every exercise has a modified program for the best fitness levels, starting from novices.

Workouts and meditations that are just your type

HIIT is for everyone, yoga is a good option. Choose 12 workout styles - meditations on topics such as calm or sleeping, audioguided yoga class walks with inspiration guest, or coached runs with perfect playlists.

Workout Quality

I found the workouts enjoyable whether short 5-minute or long 45-minute exercises. The unique feature of this program in comparison to other programs is the modifications available in every class.

During each class the instructors are led by an instructor then background trainers providing modifications which make the same workout both easier and harder for varying demographics. Other platforms generally have only the instructors to make modifications after the workout, but every class at Fitness+ presents these modifications at the start of the workout, giving you the chance to find an effective class plan that suits you.

Custom Workout Duration

You can set up a duration to your workout to correspond to the time available for yoga workout. Workout duration is between 5 to 45 minutes. 

Time to Walk

Apple fitness+ provides audio clips of famous celebrities and shows the latest fitness tips on the latest fitness trend. Time to Walk has stories from artists, actors and athletes that each last 25 to 40 minutes and has been created to be suitable for walks outdoors. Right now, there's 4 podcasts available for Dolly Parton, NBA players Draymond Green and Shawn Mendes. The film was produced by the actress Uzo Aduba. Each audio story aims to highlight the guests life-changing moments. Apple conceived this program to be as easy as walking along the celebrity talking.

Apple Music Integration

Fitness+ video is a song sourced from iTunes Music, and is accessible to anyone non-apple user. Apple Music customers, however, can download fitness+ playlists to other devices outside the Fitness+ app.

Is Apple Fitness+ worth it?

Since Apple fitness+ gives users free for the first month of the subscription, it would surely be worth experimenting with its services and seeing which one suits their needs best.
