Using these data, we showed long-term postperipatogenesis in rats injected with PM at doses greater than 200 mg/ kg w.a./d. exert estrogenic activity and induce cell proliferation. Furthermore, the use of PM boosted mammary and endometrial carcinogenicity after the introduction of DMBA and ENNG. Mammary adenocarcinomas metastasized in lung tissue were found in PM-treated and 0.1% IA treated rats. The modifying effect of 0.1% PM on the mammary gland and uterus compared well with 0.2% IA.
