Even though you might not be able to visit the hotel's gym, or if the said establishment you're staying at doesn't have a gym, you can still workout. Here are the 10 fitness exercises you can do in a hotel room!
Getting into a plank position is an easy exercise you can do in a hotel room. It (planking) doesn't even require a lot of extra space.
Get on the floor and balance your body on your forearms and toe. Make sure your spine is fully extended and your hips aren’t dropping. Maintain this position for at least a minute.
Pushups are very beneficial if you want your entire body to burn fat and focus on your upper body strength.
Doing pushups doesn’t require a lot of room. Try and do two or three sets of twelve pushups each per day.
Squats can also be included in your ‘hotel room workout exercises.’ Make sure you maintain proper form while doing squats. Your knees shouldn't move way over your toes when you bend down. Also, keep your back straight.
You can also modify your squats to make them a bit tougher. So, when you’re coming up from a squat, add in a little jump, and then do back down
- Jumping jacks
Doing jumping jacks for a minute can burn a lot of calories while staying in a hotel room. Start this exercise by standing straight, and then begin jumping with your hands over your head and then back to your standing position. Try doing jumping jacks for at least two minutes.
- Raising heels
This can be done by raising your heels off the ground as much as you can without bending your knees. Hold the position for one minute and then come back to your normal standing position.
- Single leg run position
Start this exercise by getting into a running position with your right arm bent and your left foot forward, then quickly change the position, now with your right foot forward and left arm bent. Continue to change the position of your arm and foot as quickly as you can for 60 seconds. It should look like you’re running in the same spot.
- Shoulder circles
Shoulder circles are one of the easiest exercises anyone can do anywhere. All you have to do is begin by standing straight and then start rolling your shoulders in a rounded motion as if you’re making small circles with them. After a few repeats, you can change the direction you’re rolling your shoulders in.
Sit-ups are great for strengthening your core even if you're only able to exercise in a hotel room. Lay down on the floor, preferably on a mat or towel, with your back pressed against the ground, and your knees bent. Now, go ahead and cross your arms on your chest, and using your abdominal muscles, come up to touch your chest with your knees.
Try doing two or three sets of ten sit-ups each to help burn fat and to keep active.
