What is Fast footwork training?

Fast footwork training is meant for soccer players. It helps in enhancing their soccer skills and it increases their speed. It increases the confidence level and it also improves the dribbling technique of the soccer players. This training builds the rhythm and teaches the players to accelerate while attacking. Let us checkout the various fast footwork training techniques:

1) The first technique is the inside-outside move.

  • In this technique, first touch the ball with inside part of the right foot then touch it with the outside part of the left foot and then hop.

  • Now repeat the process by touching the ball with inside part of the left foot then touch it with the outside part of the right foot and then hop.

2) The second technique is the pull-inside-outside move.

  • In this technique, a pull is added to the inside-outside move.

  • At first pull the right foot with the sole and then touch the ball with the inside part of the right foot then touch it with the outside part of the left foot and then hop.

  • Now repeat the process by pulling the left foot with the sole and then touch the ball with inside part of the left foot then touch it with the outside part of the right foot and then hop.

3) The third technique is the pull back which is behind the standing leg move.

  • In this technique, the right foot is first pulled back, next touch with the inside of the right foot behind the standing leg then touch with the outside of the left foot and then hop.

  • Now repeat the process by pulling the left foot back, next touch with the inside of the left foot behind the standing leg then touch with the outside of the right foot and then hop.


4) The fourth technique is the scissor move.

  • In this technique, for thirty seconds a player moves very fast around the ball in a double scissor style.

  • With the right foot, a player has to move inside and around the ball and then again with the left foot, a player should move inside and around the ball. This process is done for 30 seconds.
