Where is the water stored?
Within our body we have millions of cells that contain water, these are known as Intercellular fluid, there are two main areas in our body which are Intercellular and outer cellular. Outercelluar fluids are outside the cells in the blood plasma and spinal fluid.
Body functions of water:
- It’s part of spinal fluid
- Represents blood plasma
- Assist defoliation
- Provides body form and substances
- Transports nutrients and gases around the body
- Hydration strategies
Loss of water;
- Sweating
- Water vapor
- Urine
- Fasces
These are the signs of Dehydration, 1 being the lowest form of dehydration 6 being the highest.
- Thirsty
- Body temp raise
- Decrease in endurance perform
- Heat cramp, chill and nausea
- Headaches & dizziness
- Heat stroke , no sweat or urine
If you leave water consumption until you feel thirsty it’s too late, your body will constantly rehydrate. To assist the body drink every 10-1 5 minutes during exercise.
Sports drinks are helpful before, during and after the event

During = Isotonic
After = Hypertonic
