What is the Insanity Workout All About ?

What is the Insanity Workout?

You’ve heard of the Insanity Workout, right? It’s the one that says it can get you in top shape in minimal time. But, does it really live up to its promises or is it just another exercise program that doesn’t work?

What it is

The Insanity Workout is a two month intense workout program designed to build muscle and burn fat all over your body. It uses ten different plyometric exercise and interval training DVD’s to allegedly get you in the best shape you’ve ever been in.

You don’t need any fancy and expensive gym equipment to do the exercises, which is a bonus – especially if you’re on a budget. It’s just you and your body working together to achieve maximum fitness.

To its credit, it doesn’t pretend to be easy. In fact, it boasts about the fact that it will probably be one of the hardest workouts you ever do. That’s great, but does it work?

A critique of the program

According to past and current users, the Insanity Workout lives up to its promises. It delivers maximum results in a very short period of time. The people who have followed the guidelines and direction of Shaun T, the creator of the Insanity Workout, state that they have lost weight and gained self -confidence according to their reviews on Beachbody.

Some of the most notable pros were that the program was extremely effective and met their expectations. A few of the cons were that it was repetitive and some of the comments imply that it was difficult to do the exercises, both of which may be said about any new exercise endeavor one seeks to go on.

Is it for you?

Each person’s idea of getting in shape is different. If you aren’t afraid to work hard and push the limits of your body, then the Insanity Workout may be just what you need to drop the weight and gain muscle.

However, if you’re the person that doesn’t want to sweat a lot and doesn’t mind spending more time working out as long as you get to do it at lower intensities, then it’s probably not for you. You may want to choose some other program that is a little less intense.
