How to turn protein powder into a meal?

What is protein powder?

Protein powder is something that everyone needs to use after they’ve worked out. Proteins are extremely important nutrients for the body. Your body needs them in order for new cells to grow and the old ones to repair themselves. And while you are growing up, and hitting the gym, trying to get those six-pack abs requires protein to be present in your body.

Due to the fact that your body requires some high-quality protein, protein powder happens to be the easiest and the most convenient source.

Now, the most common way of consuming this protein powder is to add it to a shaker cup, filling it up with water, shaking it so that it mixes well and then simply drinking it. You can even add it to your glass of milk, or blend it with some veggies or fruits and drink it instead of having your normal meal. However, keep in mind that this powder is not necessarily added to only liquids. You can even add it in your solid food as well.

So, how to turn protein powder into a meal?

While you’re doing intense workouts it is important for you to let your muscles recover after all of the strain they’ve been put through. Plus, in order to maintain a healthy metabolic rate you need to consume the right amount of protein. You don’t have to only restrict yourself to protein shakes anymore. You can add protein powder to your meals and enjoy eating the food that you love while also consuming the right amount of protein along the way.

Protein Powder for your meal times:

So, the first thing that you can do is make yourself some oatmeal and add a small amount of protein powder to it. Many people love to eat a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. Add in some protein powder and provide your body with the content it requires. You can also cover your porridge with some nuts such as almonds and walnuts for some added crunch and flavor. You could also just make a whey sauce instead and drizzle that over your oatmeal.

In the same manner you can have protein powder in your breakfast by simply adding it to your bowl of porridge. Or you can even make yourself some waffles or pancakes that include protein powder as well.

Granola bars are a great way of having a snack that you can consume before and after your workout. You can add some of your protein powder to it if you prefer. Also, you can make a batch of gingerbread oatmeal bars as well. These bars include almost 15 to 25 grams of protein per bar, that is if you happen to add 2.5 scoops of powder into the batter. They make for a tasty and healthy meal.

The next thing that you can make is perfect for an evening snack: Mug cakes which include protein powder! Just add your protein powder to your cake batter and leave it to bake and you’re done. A mug cake will not only quench your sweet tooth but will also provide you with the required intake of protein as well.

Thinking of making a pizza? Great! Just make sure you add some protein powder to the dough. Once the crust has cooked perfectly you can then add the topping of your choice and enjoy a protein-filled tasty pizza.

Adding protein powder to your desserts is quite easy too. You can simply cut up some fruits and mix them in a bowl of yogurt and protein powder. Or you could make yourself some brownies with protein powder in it, and then cover them up with some chocolate.

There are numerous ways of adding protein power into a meal. Try them out and see how well they work for you.
