Most Important Supplements That Work

If you’ve ever stepped foot in a health food store or even walked down a supplement aisle in the supermarket, then you already know that there are literally hundreds of kinds and brands to choose from. This can make it difficult to know which ones you need, as well as which ones actually work.

To make this easier for you, there are three that are the most effective when it comes to getting in better physical shape. They are:

  • BCAAs. BCAA stands for branched-chain amino acid and these supplements contain leucine, isoleucine, and valine. BCAAs help with the development and recovery of muscle tissue and these three are among the nine total essential amino acids your body needs to survive. You can either get them in capsule or powder form, allowing you to take them in whatever way suits you best.

  • Creatine. Creatine is made from the three amino acids L-arginine, glycine, and L-methionine and it supplies your muscle cells the energy they need to make it through your vigorous workouts. Although you naturally make creatine in your body, taking additional supplements is often necessary if you engage in high intensity resistance training or cardiovascular exercise. (Note: Creatine should not be taken by people who have kidney issues or are diabetic.)

  • Casein. The third most important supplement that works is casein, a form of protein that helps your muscles heal and grow. The one good thing about casein protein over other protein sources is that it is slow releasing so your body gets what it needs over a longer period of time. Take it either before or after your workouts for the greatest effect.
  • Take these three supplements and you’ll be well on your way to a firmer, trimmer, and more tone body.

What supplements do you take and why? I’d love to know so share them below!
